Rhetorical speech

Me and my girlfriend Emmy are to present a roleplay tomorrow. We have had the task to represent the Republican Party, as they try to boost Sarah Palin as presidential candidate for 2012, and have thus written a speech to promote her. Have fun!

We live in a great nation. A nation which has long fought for the freedom which we all seek in our lives. This freedom is not just my freedom, or your freedom, but every true American’s right to freedom. And when our glorious nation has such a great and powerful freedom, with a strong and happy people living it, we can not overlook the lack of freedom in the world. On November 4, 2008, we put the reins of this nation into the hands of a strong man. We gave the reins to a good man, but he was not the right man. In these times of terrorism, fear and distress, we can not afford to give up on peace in the world. We can not afford to leave Iraq. We can not afford to leave what our true American troops have fought for, and are fighting for. We can not let Barack Obama lead us out of freedom.

If this man is not the right man, who is? We need a mother figure who knows what it is like to defend her children from danger. We need a true Christian American who knows right from wrong. We need Sarah Palin.

In these times of troubles, America needs a strong President who can defend our nation and the world from the terrorist threats we are facing today. Sarah Palin is that person. She will not abandon the people of Iraq into the hands of terrorists and oppression; she will fight for democracy and true values for those who need them the most. Because it is in these times of troubles that we need a mother to care for us; a mother with love enough to care for all the children of the world. We need our own Queen Elizabeth, to fight the waves of terrorism falling on our shores. We need our own Jean D’Arc to fight for our true values, and we need a mother who can care for us as Mary cared for her own son.

To fight for freedom in the world requires a strong source of democracy and true Christian values to stand on. We need those values which our forefathers brought when they founded this nation. To Sarah Palin these values are not just an idea, they are an ideal. Sarah Palin is not a political product of Washington. Sarah Palin is the product of the bravest of Americans which defied the cold and harsh wildlife of Alaska. From Alaska comes a woman who is not just one of fancy phrases, but of true spirit. This woman stands up for her values all the way, even when considering her own family. This is not just a woman of fancy words and fast rhetoric, but a true Christian American. This woman will not stand aside when the fruits of Christian love are murdered, without even given a chance to stand up for themselves. This woman will not stand aside as atheists and liberalists try to bring sin into the heart of America.

We live in a great nation, therefore we think you should vote for Sarah Palin. Because we can bring freedom and democracy to the world. We can restore the true values of Christianity in America, and We can create true harmony in the spirits of all Americans.
